Shreya Anand
Shreya joined the Engineering Health team at the KITE Research Institute (UHN) in 2022 as a Research Analyst. She graduated from the University of Guelph (’21) with a degree in Biomedical Engineering and an interest in improving quality of life and healthcare through technological solutions. In winter 2022-2023, she conducted a pilot study on the impact of real-world wear on the slip resistance of winter footwear over one winter season.
Currently, she is working alongside team members to explore the minimum foot clearance values of pedestrians over differently sized sidewalk obstacles, using a novel dual camera system for outdoor data collection. This work will be used to evaluate the risk of tripping over small, real-world obstacles on city sidewalk.
