Niroja Balakumar
Niroja joined the Engineering Health Team at TRI in March 2024 after completing her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at the University of Toronto. She has since begun her Master’s in Biomedical Engineering at UofT, where her lab focuses on preventing pressure injuries. Her research interests lie in leveraging innovative biomedical devices for prevention, rehabilitation, and personalized care, particularly in the field of aging.
