Kimberley Morningstar
Kim is a Research Analyst II with the Engineering Health Team at the UHN KITE Research Institute. Alongside team members since February 2024, Kim has co-developed preliminary guidelines for accessibility awareness training and improving accessible tourism, and a draft standard for accessible tourism. She is currently working on various sub-projects for a research study on preventing mobility device damage during air travel, including her role as co-lead organizer of the Accessible Air Travel Forum.
She brings qualitative skills from her Bachelor of English and Visual Arts degree from Western University and over 12 years of experience in corporate and public facing communication project lead roles in health and community care, STEM education, fintech, and trade publishing focused on built environments.
Kim’s work with the Engineering Health Team is also informed by her concurrent studies in diversity, equity, inclusion, and ethical practice in social work and as a primary care partner. She is passionate about supporting positive health outcomes and quality of life for all.
