Faranak is a Research Analyst with the Engineering Health team at the KITE Research Institute, part of the University Health Network. She joined the team in October 2024, after completing her Master’s in Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto. Her graduate research focused on evaluating social isolation and functional recovery in older adults recovering from lower limb fractures, using multimodal sensor platforms and advanced statistical and qualitative analyses. Faranak is passionate about leveraging machine learning and deep learning techniques in her research, as well as contributing to data collection and conducting diverse analyses across projects in the Engineering Health lab
