Carine Nimry began her work with the Engineering Health team in January 2025. She recently completed her undergraduate degree in Industrial Design and Wearable Technology at the Ontario College of Art and Design University. Her thesis focused on improving the accessibility of wearable robotics, specifically exploring the shift from clinic or caregiver dependent to user led rehabilitation. The goal was to promote independent, consistent, and dignified at home recovery for individuals with post stroke spasticity.

Carine supports the team by contributing to ongoing design and research projects, ranging from air travel accessibility to rollator braking systems. Her research interests center on designing user centered healthcare solutions that support rehabilitation and augmentation, with a focus on ensuring their successful integration into commercial products.
